Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this an outdoor theatre?
A: Yes, we are located outdoors! Perchance Theatre is an Elizabethan style theatre, built after Shakespeare's Globe Theatre in London, England. There is a sailcloth roof that covers the audience area, so you're not totally exposed to the elements. However, we always recommend that you come prepared for the weather. Don't forget your rain jacket, sunscreen and bug spray!
Q: What kind of seating is there? Can we bring our own chairs?
A: The seats are wooden bench-style in the round. We have cushions for rent at the theatre if you should wish for some padding on the seats, but you're also welcome to bring your own! The seating is not assigned. We don't allow people to bring their own chairs unless they should need it for medical reasons, as the pit area is utilized by the actors during the shows.
Q: What does the "Soiree" on the schedule refer to?
A:"Soiree" on the schedule refers to the Cuper's Cove Soiree, which is an annual summer festival that takes place in Cupids at the same time as some of our performances. It includes events such as games, concessions stands, concerts, fireworks and more. We have it on our schedule to let visitors know that there will be other events taking place in the area if they should wish to take advantage of that while they are in Cupids!
Q: Is there food and drink available for purchase?
A: Cupid's Haven Bed & Breakfast is located right next to us, and are open during our intermissions if you should wish to purchase a snack or a beverage. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks with you into the theatre. Please note that no alcohol is permitted in the theatre.

Q: Do you cancel shows for rain?
A: The show must go on! However, sometimes it happens if the weather is particularly terrible. If we do cancel a show, we post on our website and all of our social medias (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram). We also let people know through our voicemail message, so call if you are curious. Those who had purchased tickets for that show date will be contacted via email used to purchase the tickets to arrange either a refund, or moving the tickets to a different date.
